On the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5,2018 Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA) organised one day State Level consultation on the subject of ‘Conservation & Management of Traditional Water Bodies’ at Pataliputra Hotel at Patna. The programme was inaugurated by KM Singh, Vice President, PPF. Other participants in the Inaugural session included Shri Vyas Ji, VC, BSDMA & Dr Muzaffar Ahmed, Former Member, NDMA.
 The participants in this programme included representatives from concerned departments & institutions of state Govt, NGOs, UNICEF, local bodies etc. Based on deliberations and recommendations in the Technical Sessions in three groups, a ‘10 point Patna Declaration on Conservation & Management of Traditional Water Bodies’ was released in the concluding session.
